We recognize that national, state and local agricultural services including our own have historically and often continue to underserve and therefore oppress people of color, Indigenous and Native American people, people who are immigrants, undocumented people, people whose first language is not English, women, LGBTQI+ people, and people with disabilities, among others. We strive to operate actively anti-racist programs and services that reduce critical barriers for, and prioritize, historically underserved populations of farmers.

Our new Harvest Hub makes it easier for stores, restaurants, and institutions like schools to access local food by coordinating the ordering and distribution aspect of locally grown and raised food while also providing support to local farms to be able to increase their growing capacity and sustainability of their farm businesses. Read the 11/15/2023 Lost Coast Outpost article on the Harvest Hub here.

Humboldt Farmer Gatherings. A casual gathering of farmers and farmworkers, hosted on local farms. One gathering is planned every other month and often feature UCCE mini-workshops. At each farmer gathering we hope you will enjoy checking out a new farm location, visiting with new and old friends, good conversation, and... a chance to relax.

Farm Work
Are you interested in working on a farm? NCGA farmer members have a variety of needs, from full time to part time and full year to seasonal, but most positions are physically demanding. If you are looking for farm work, you can visit farmers' markets and speak to farmers directly to ask if they have opportunities. Alternately, you can fill out this form and we will share it with farmers when they are looking for additional help.
Are you a farmer looking for help on your farm?
