What is the North Coast Agricultural Collaborative?
The North Coast Agricultural Collaborative unites regional organizations, agencies and offices that provide critical services to our agricultural and tribal garden communities with seasonal in-person gatherings and an internal email listserv that provide opportunities to network and share information about current and upcoming programming, resources and funding. Several farmers have also chosen to be a part of this group as well to get more involved with these partners and to help represent producers in our discussions.
Each participating organization, agency or office provides critical services to our agricultural community and we are fortunate to live in a community where many of our offices work so well together on collaborative projects and prioritize making ourselves available to promote and support each other's work. In our relatively small community this collaboration is so important and valuable. The North Coast Agricultural Collaborative simply takes our region's partnership mindset one step further.
In addition to meeting new partners, enjoying each others company and catching up personally, this collaborative aims to:
- Increase communication between entities
- Share information about timely resources or funding
- Share info about regulation changes
- Increase access to info/ data that we all want to share with our various clients, funders or supporters
- Formal collaborative networking
