Seeking 1-2 Acres for Chile and Corn

What features of the property are essential?
Property must be close to Arcata or Eureka (within 30-45 min of either) and capable of growing chiles and corn. Prefereably in the Blue Lake Area

Describe your farming experience:
Mostly gardening, but some experience working bigger fields

Are you currently farming?
yes, I farm a plot in Wild Rose Farms (blue lake) and run a small home plot at Lavender Thyme Farms (Blue Lake)

What are your short term goals for the land?
We will produce heirloom Chilis, Maize, Quelites (greens), and flowers to be sold. We own La Ciendita a Boutique and Community Space in Arcata and can use the outdoor area as our local farm stand. We will be producing at smaller scales to fulfill the seasonal market needs and to provide quality and culturally sensitive ingredients to local food restaurants.

What are your long term goals?
Selling produce to restaurants and value added producers such as tortilla producers. Expanding La Ciendita Farm Stand. Using produce for cultural food events, festivals, fundraisers.

Describe your housing needs:
On site housing is essential. Family of three requires safe and stable housing.
