FARMWORKER RESOURCES:

These resources have been compiled based on farmworker feedback received during our 2025 farmworker gathering session.

Some of the most common needs expressed amongst local farmworkers are:
  • Lack of access to affordable healthcare and bodywork
  • Information about worker rights and advocacy
  • Community support and networking

Healthcare

Open Door Member Health Services: Open Door Member Health Services can help you navigate MediCal, CoveredCA.com the Insurance Marketplace, CalFresh and More!

If you are already on a medical or calcovered plan they can help you answer any questions or help resolve problems regarding those services. They can also help connect you with the right doctor or specialist at Open Door. You do not have to have insurance or be an open door member to access their services. The easiest way to contact them is to call them at 707-443-4666

Member Services also administers a number of programs for community wellness:
  • Community Wellness Gardens
  • Latino Health Coordinators

Looking for Farm Work?

Interested in working on an NCGA member farm? Our farmer members have a variety of needs, from full time to part time and full year to seasonal, but most positions are physically demanding.

If you are interested, please click the button below.
Your information from the form will be shared with NCGA member farmers who are looking for new employees. This list is managed by the NCGA agricultural programs staff.

Note: If you have continued or new interest in farm work, you may want to consider resubmitting this form every 2-3 of months, as farms may assume older submissions are not longer current.

Other Resources

CCOF Future Farmers Fund: This is a great educational funding opportunity that gives $5000 to students enrolled in agricultural education courses. All of the above opportunities would make a person eligible for this grant and I am happy to write anyone enrolled in Ag education a letter of recommendation for this funding. We have helped multiple people in the lastyear get this grant!
